Ways to increase all oxytocin, endorphins, and serotonin.

Oxytocin

  • Physical touch, such as hugging, cuddling, and massage.
  • Spending time with loved ones.
  • Petting animals.
  • Listening to music.
  • Giving to others.
  • Meditation.

Endorphins

  • Exercise.
  • Laughter.
  • Eating spicy foods.
  • Taking a hot bath or shower.
  • Getting enough sleep.

Serotonin

  • Spending time in sunlight.
  • Eating a healthy diet.
  • Exercising regularly.
  • Getting enough sleep.
  • Meditation.

Here are some specific examples of activities that can help to increase all oxytocin, endorphins, and serotonin:

  • Go for a walk in nature with a friend or loved one.
  • Pet your dog or cat.
  • Listen to your favorite music while cooking dinner.
  • Volunteer your time to a cause you care about.
  • Meditate for 10 minutes before bed.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast that includes protein and complex carbohydrates.
  • Exercise for 30 minutes most days of the week.
