Quid pro quo

Quid pro quo is a Latin phrase meaning "something for something." It refers to an exchange of goods or services, where one thing is given or received in exchange for another. It's often used to describe a mutual exchange or a deal.

Example:

  • "I'll help you with your homework if you help me with mine."

In a more formal context, it can refer to a mutual agreement or contract. For instance, in a business deal, a company might offer a certain product or service in exchange for payment.
