Fear of missing out (FOMO)

Fear of missing out (FOMO) is a feeling of anxiety or worry that one is missing out on important, enjoyable, or rewarding experiences while others are having them. It is a relatively new term, coined in 2004, but the phenomenon itself has been around for much longer.

FOMO can be caused by a number of factors, including:
